I got this product about 6 days back and am extremely pleased with the item. I had an Friedrich CP15G10 15000 btu - 115 volt - 10.7 EER Chill series room air conditioner and I would never buy once again. So far so great. Cannot be worse than the Friedrich CP15G10 15000 btu - 115 volt - 10.7 EER Chill series room air conditioner Likewise if you registered it on line you got an additional 2 months warranty.

We bought this ac for our open living room. We probably could have gone with the 12000 btu version but didn't want to be maxing out the unit all the time. Our room is only 23 x 13, but there is no door so no way to cool only this area (and the room also gets very bright sun all day). The unit is very quiet. We bought an 8000 kuhl series unit for the bedroom and frankly think this one might be quieter (and the 8000 was the same price as this one). We had it professionally installed since it is really a beast, and bought a heavy duty universal bracket for it and feel that it's in our double hung NYC window very securely.
