It does everything you need it to do, however, you have to know ahead of time because this product doesn't come with instructions, ask a friend or some body before you use it. I am an electrician. But, I have a friend who is mechanic and air conditioning to help me. The manifold gauge worked great. I pulled a vacuum on the gauges and it held for an hours I left it sitting. I bought all my own A/C tools this time rather than having the local shop to work on my truck, Be sure to buy a can tap as well. I will say the instructions weren't great but if you know what you're doing you'll be fine. I'd recommend these to anyone. I looked at all the models on Amazon and I'm glad that I bought this manifold.

These gauges totally surprised me with their build quality. I expected to get one use, if that, out of them given their price point. I've used them on more than 20 cars so far, and they work flawlessly. They don't come with instructions, but, if you're buying your own set of refrigerant gauges, you shouldn't need them anyway.
If you plan on actually recharging any A/C systems, you'll need a Mastercool 85510 R134a Can Tap Valve-Screw-On Model, and a good vacuum pump. I bought Robinair 15310 VacuMaster 3 CFM Single Stage Pump; it's not too small, not too big, and got the job done.
