My Payne air conditioner stopped working one day. The outdoor unit was making a humming sound, but the fan wouldn't spin. This capacitor was reasonably priced, very easy to install, and fixed the problem. The new capacitor was a little shorter than the original, but it fit without a problem. Make sure to shut the power off and discharge the capacitor before replacing.
