Well, after doing a bunch of research and reading the reviews below and elsewhere, I chose to purchase SoleusAir 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner, # SG-WAC-05SM. Though I 'd have liked a much better warranty, I chose the functions were attractive enough to attempt it. It is a bunch of money to throw away if it falls short simply after the guarantee. I am absolutely in love with this product. It is high quality product, clever attributes. I just got it today, and I will upgrade my review later if required.

This AC unit does gets the job done. It is an inexpensive unit that does a pretty good job cooling. In a one bedroom apartment it kept the living room nice and cool and the rest of the place cool as well.
