Well, after doing a great deal of research and reading the testimonials below and somewhere else, I decided to purchase GE AEV05LQ. Though I 'd have preferred a much better warranty, I chose the attributes were attractive enough to try it. It is a great deal of money to toss away if it falls short just after the guarantee. I am absolutely in love with this item. It is high quality product, wise features. I just got it today, and I will update my review later on if required.

Nice for the Price
This is a good quality air conditioner for a single room. I live in Manhattan and use it to cool off and dry out my small apartment. A fan blows the cool air into the other rooms. This little unit does the job for me.
It cools a single room quite well. this unit is equal or better than the Frigidaire 5000 BTU unit. I owned the other one. They both share the mediocre air flow direction control. The GE has several factors that make it slightly better than the Frigidaire. 1.) water doesn't drip out of a hole on the bottom (outside). This may not seem important, but it makes a huge difference when moving the unit as the GE won't leave a trail of water wherever you take it inside your house. To get rid of accumulated water when you are removing the unit- tilt it on it's side. 2.) the circuit breaker has a green light telling you there's electricity flowing and that the breaker has not been tripped. 3.) the filter comes in and out easier than the Frigidaire.

This product has made me and my family so very glad. I absolutely love GE AEV05LQ very much, it is perfect for me. And would be accomplish for someone like me, I absolutely love it. If you are seeking a Window, so i high advised this item to you. I bought this product at a price that offers in USA.
