I got this product about 7 days ago and am really pleased with the product. I had an Frigidaire FRA296ST2 28,500 BTU Window-Mounted Heavy-Duty Air Conditioner with Temperature Sensing Remote (230 volts) and I would never ever buy again. So far so excellent. Can't be even worse than the Frigidaire FRA296ST2 28,500 BTU Window-Mounted Heavy-Duty Air Conditioner with Temperature Sensing Remote (230 volts) Likewise if you registered it on line you got an extra two months warranty.

One serious air conditioner
I purchased this air conditioner and put it in the window of my office. We have several racks of servers located in the back. Previously we have had many A/C units and they have just not done the job. This unit, with a twin, were able to handle the large cooling load with no problem. Kept the interior in the mid 70's while it was over 100 outside.

It quickly cools the room on hot days and quiet operation keeps you cool without keeping you awake. Ready-Select electronic controls allow you to set the comfort level to your preference, while the convenient temperature readout displays the set temperature. Effortless temperature sensing remote control allows you to see, set and maintain room temperature from across the room. The multi-speed fan features three different fan speeds for more cooling flexibility and the multi-directional comfort control design allows you to easily control the direction of the cool air, wherever the unit is mounted. Plus, the clean air ionizer removes pollen and impurities from the air providing relief for allergy sufferers. This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.

ENERGY EFFICIENT

This unit has an Energy Efficiency Ratio of 8.5 and is sure to provide you with savings, along with convenient, cool comfort. In Energy-saver mode the fan continues to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. The low power operation and Energy Saver mode helps to conserve energy and save you money.

Most Underlined Buyer Review : Cools my shop
This unit works great and is very quiet for a window unit. The remote with timer is very handy. Fit and finish is excellent. The only weak point is the filter. It doesn't fit well around the edges, and it is a very open mesh plastic and I am sure it lets some dust get to the evaporator. I may replace it with a foam filter that will fit better and trap more fine dust. The filter is the only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars.

The shipping box is sturdy, and the unit arrived with no damage. I am very pleased, and you can't beat the Amazon price on this item.
