I received this item about 6 days ago and am very happy with the product. I had an Frigidaire FRA226ST2 22,000 BTU Window-Mounted Heavy-Duty Air Conditioner with Temperature Sensing Remote (230 volts) and I would never ever purchase once again. Up until now so good. Can't be even worse than the Frigidaire FRA226ST2 22,000 BTU Window-Mounted Heavy-Duty Air Conditioner with Temperature Sensing Remote (230 volts) Likewise if you registered it on line you got an additional two months warranty.

220V Plug
I bought the Frigidaire 12,000 BTU AC for my bedroom casement window. It is supposed to cool 640 square Ft but does a pretty good of cooling the entire house (2412 square ft), that is until the temperature got above 100 degrees. I was so impressed with the 12,000 BTU unit, that I ordered the 22,000 BTU Frigidaire for the only double hung window in my house, got it installed, and tried to plug it into the wall receptacle...surprise, surprise, it is a 220V plug. I got an electrician to put in a 220V receptacle for me and the AC works wonderfully so far. Amazon.com did not mention anything about power requirements, and I never thought to ask.

Frigidaire's FRA226ST2 Energy Star 22,000 BTU 230-Volt Window-Mounted Heavy-Duty Air Conditioner is perfect for rooms up to 1,435 square feet. Low voltage start-up and operation conserves energy and saves you money. Ready-Select electronic controls allow you to set the comfort level to your preference, while the convenient temperature readout displays the set temperature. Effortless temperature sensing remote control allows you to see, set and maintain room temperature from across the room. The multi-speed fan features three different fan speeds for more cooling flexibility and the multi-directional comfort control design allows you to easily control the direction of the cool air, wherever the unit is mounted. Plus, the clean air ionizer removes pollen and impurities from the air providing relief for allergy sufferers. This unit requires a special 230V electrical outlet and will not operate with a standard 115V household electrical outlet.

ENERGY EFFICIENT

This Energy Star unit has an Energy Efficiency Ratio of 9.4 and is sure to provide you with savings, along with convenient, cool comfort. In Energy-saver mode the fan continues to run for 1 minute after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 20 seconds at 10 minute intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on. The low power operation and Energy Saver mode help to conserve energy and save you money. This unit requires a 230V electrical outlet and will not work with a standard 115V outlet.
