Great A/C Unit - Ridiculous Exhaust Hose System
I love this a/c unit for my bedroom - works like a charm and reasonably quiet if you keep all the filters cleaned. My only question is who designed the exhaust hose set up? It is absolutley ridiculous. I've gone through about $20 of duck tape just trying to keep the stupid exhaust hose in the plastic piece. Why the engineers took a lunch break on this part of the unit is just beyond me. I finally just superglued the darn pieces together. Otherwise, great machine but for the money - they really dropped the ball on the exhaust hose set up.

Electronic Controls In addition to the included remote control, the unit offers easy access front electronic control of its many features such as cooling mode, fan speed, thermostat settings, sleep timer, louver swing and dehumidifier only mode.	Upper Drain Port The Koldfront PAC1401W offers an upper drain port should you wish to attach a permanent drain line to the unit and take full advantage of the de-humidifier function. The Koldfront portable A/C is fantastic! Why waste money cooling an entire home if you are mainly using one room? We turn the main A/C on for the whole house about 30 minutes a day, and then it is off! We have one portable for the front living area and one for the bed room. We placed a sliding wood panel to go over the screen on the window outside over the hose opening in case of rain. We never have to worry about those horror stories of this one leaking water.
